Logan County }On this 17th day of August AD 1865 before me the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas within & for said County and State personally appeared Hannah A. Rutan a resident of said County and State and who is known to me to be respectable and entitled to credit who being by me first duly sworn doth depose and say that she was present on the 1st day of November AD 1835 at the house of Robert French in the County of Fayette and State of Pennsylvania, and saw the Marriage ceremony duly performed by one John Leuhart a Justice of the Peace between Stephen P. Rutan and Rebecca French and that the said Rebecca French then married is the person who made the application for Pension to which this her affidavit is attached; & further that I have no interest in the prosecution of this claim.
