Passing Awayβ€”One by one the Pioneer Settlers of Lorain are passing away from earth. Mrs. Electa Terrell, the first white woman who settled in Ridgeville, died at the residence of her son Lovinus Terrell, in that Township, on the 21st inst., aged 76 years.β€”She was the widow of Tillotson Terrell, who came to Ridgeville from Connecticut, July 6th, 1810, and she has lived near the spot where they first settled, for more than fifty-one years. Her husband was accidentally shot while hunting, and died Dec. 23d, 1838. She was the mother of eleven children, all but two of whom are now living.

After enduring the hardships incident to the early settlement of the then almost boundless wilderness with patience and fidelity, she lived to see the fruits of her early toil ripen to an abundant harvest, and departed from the scene of her mingled toils and pleasures with the full consciousness of a well spent life, and the hope of a blissful immortality.
